Art Surfboards Exhibition Program

If you are an artist or collector who is also a surfer, or were a surfer, or are about to become a surfer, this could be a very exciting project for you to get involved with!

Noon Surf Design is a handmade surfboard studio founded by artists, craftspeople, art dealers and curators who are also very experienced surfers with a deep surf addiction and who have made all kinds of surfboards with their own hands.

We would like to combine our surfboard craft studio with art projects with other artists who have their own idea of a dream surfboard.

As you may know, the infrastructure of a surfboard includes the bottom, the plate or skeleton for the hollow, the Borda, the wings and covered with fibreglass and wax. Your ideas could be expressed from the inside to the surface, from the rail to the nose.

What we can offer is this,

Creativity. Understanding your idea or creating ideas with your for your dream surfboard from artistic thinking, practical technique planing, material choice and handcrafting;

Curation. Planning your surfboard work for future exhibition as a solo or group show in some important art or surf events or art galleries;

Handcrafting and shaping. To transform your creative ideas into a perfect surfboard for good surfing as well as a work of art using professional woodworking equipment, techniques and relevant materials;

Exhibitions. With a strong background in contemporary art gallery, Noon Surf Design will find a suitable space in Europe or even a gallery in Mayfair London to show your works and help sell them if you allow.

Suggested form of works to buy and collect.

There will be series of your works starting from 6 works with at least 3 editions for each of them. Yes, it is a method of sculptures, photographic works or art prints, they are works of signed editions. Of course, if you have enough ideas, the works could be as unique as any work of art.

The whole process above will be environmentally friendly and sustainable.

Artists or collectors will need to fund their initial resources to do this and the minimum cost for each surfboard will be 1,700 Euros. For a complete process from design, handcrafting to exhibition it will be at least 20,000 Euros including 10 pieces of work for the exhibition.
